What did you have in mind?
i like the direction this is going in. the baldwin effect is really good and i'm assuming it has to do with the evolution of a hollywood leading man into an overweight character actor. 
now that i've heard it a few times (i couldn't sleep due to that image of alec baldwin's cock) i think i agree with dzima. this might be your best ep.

This is your best album in my opinion.
I'll go even further and propose a parallel universe in which The Cure actually had the guts to make experimental music and would come up with something like this.
I deem you from now on the post-modern Smith/Gallup.
That's high praise; now I can feel justified in turning out a string of mediocre albums while spending all my real time and energy collecting Tijuana Bibles and perfecting my microbrewery methods.
By the way, I just remembered: is our short film collaboration ever going to come out of development hell?
very nice to hear these together as an album. also, i might have missed one or two tracks before.
it's also interesting, how with the cd format one would expect an album to run for 70 minutes, just because the space is there on the disc, but for an album that exists as downloadable files only, a short running time feels just right to me. it's not about a maximal use of material resources any more, but the appropriate timing to give a work the perfect impact.
It seems like the sweet spot for me is in the 30-40 minute range. I've put together a lot of compilations over the years that end up being approximately that long. | |
