i really like the sound of these tracks as i think i said before.
they also work really well together as an album.
it seems to be your most accessible work recently also, as no one in my office has asked me to turn it off yet.
don't worry i have black dice on my itunes in my office and some remixed atari teenage riot track. i could clear the room if i was forced to.
i've been listening all day and you should make a video for every one of these songs. it's excellent soundtrack music.
Thanks. There are a few people who are supposed to be working on visuals for my songs. Perhaps they will select one (or more) of these.
I could always make one video for you as a payment for your drawings. Which track is the first single?
Hey, good idea. Pick one!
Maybe "Therefore I Am". It's very percussive and I could make something visually rhythmic with it.
Sounds good to me. I like to avoid making suggestions unless the artist requests them. I'm very interested in what my music will inspire.
THEREFORE I AM
music by Stanley Lieber
video by Dzima
music starts, three band members enter the stage where a piano, a percussion set and a guitar are waiting for them. They all wear different colours. They stand in front of the instruments facing the audience.
suddenly they are sitting behind/playing their instruments; the animation is very jagged and jerky, evoking a certain low-fi quality.
From around 0:25 to 0:59
random shots of the performers hands while playing their instruments appear
a couple dancing waltz or tango enters the stage
couple leaves; shots of the band and performer hands
1:30 to 1:45
a snail and turtle cross the stage going in opposite directions
2:07 to 2:10
piano player's left hand to the left of screen, guitar player's left hand to the right of screen.
a jellyfish flies across the stage
geometrical shapes fly across the stage
performers wave bye bye but leave their arms behind still playing their instruments; background screen starts to change colour according to the rhythm of the music.
Are you okay with this idea?
It might not work actually.
I don't mind, I just want credit!
Although I would also like to advocate for my mix. I'm not sure if dzima could make that version work with his concept though.
Where's your version of the track?
If Mr. Lieber has no objections, I'll post a link. (...after I encode it.)
I have no objections! It's good!
Hello. I added you as a pal. We both like Zardoz. In my case, far too much for my wife's liking. Yours, etc.
I like the pictures! Are there any remixings going on or do I simply need to renumber the files? ;)
They're all altered somewhat. I never know how to announce that without seeming daft, but I usually do slight (or major) modifications on tracks when assembling an album. If nothing else just to normalize them all to a consistent volume. Always re-download!
Also there are a couple of completely new songs I haven't posted before.
wonderful album - i listened to it immediately after nurse with wound's "crocodile krazy glue". great match, good difference.
the modest duration of these fine auditive strolls is most appropriate, to me (we can't all be lamonte young, some are too curious to just stay ...) - though, some of these tracks endings are quite clicketybrupt. the digital age is just so unforgivingly exact ... not all those harmonies of the bouncing needle in those cuts (apply a quartersecond fade maybe?, but i don't really care ...)
Thank you. I did agonize over the song transitions for some time. Be sure and have your playlist remove any gaps between tracks!
Um... I did the programming on track 2, not track 1.
You have to forgive me, it's my first day back at work after a week sitting on my couch clicking buttons.
No sweat. I'm just glad I'm getting reply notification e-mails again!
They've been working for me for a while, but I still see other people complaining from time to time.
